Mihai Georgescu is a Junior Researcher at the L3S Research Center in Hanover, Germany. His main research interests include multimedia search and retrieval, web 2.0 applications, event detection and summarization, digital libraries and social networks. He is a PhD Student at the University of Hanover, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Nejdl. Prior to this, he studied Computer Science at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania.
