Wolfram Neubauer is the director of ETH Libraries and Collections, the central information unit of the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich), Switzerland. Prior to 1996 he worked for the Julich Research Centre as the director of the Central Library.
He holds a master's degree in mineralogy and a doctoral degree in science from Munich University. His major professional interests are changing processes in knowledge institutions and all aspects of electronic library services.
ETH Zurich is one of the leading research institutions in Europe with a main focus on science and technology. Besides the responsibilities as a university institution the library also acts as the Swiss centre for information on science and technology.
