Dr. Anne Lipp is the head of the Scientific Library Services and Information Systems Division within the German Research Foundation / Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The purpose of this DFG-Division is to establish effective information services and innovative information infrastructures suited to meet the needs of the research community at German universities and research institutions. Key aspects of activity are among others National Licensing, Digitization, Open Access Publishing, Research Data and Virtual Research Environments.

Prior to becoming head of the Information Infrastructure Division, Anne Lipp was a Programme Director in DFG's Research Centres Division and a member of the Excellence Initiative Steering Committee. From 1995 to 1999 she worked at the University of Tübingen (Germany). She holds a Ph.D. in Modern History.
