Attempts at Innovation in Scholarly Communication
Overcome by melancholy caused by presenting a keynote at a venue that is just a stone's throw from where he grew up, Herbert Van de Sompel will do a presentation unlike any he has done before: he will look back at the past instead of into the future. He will reflect on some of the most visible efforts he was involved in over the past 10 years and that shared the goal of transforming aspects of (access to) scholarly communication: SFX, OpenURL, OAI-PMH, info URI, open access, institutional repositories, aDORe, MESUR, OAI-ORE, djatoka.
