Dr. Roswitha Poll was chief librarian of Münster University and Regional Library till 2004. Within ISO (International Organisation of Standardization) she chairs the committee TC46/SC 8: "Information and documentation - Quality, statistics and performance evaluation" and the working group on international library statistics. In DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) she chairs the subcommittee for library management. She is member and officer of IFLA Section "Statistics and Evaluation" since 2003.
She works on the editorial board of the Northumbria International Conference on Performance Measurement in Libraries and Information Services and of several journals. Topics of her publications are library management, library statistics, performance measurement, cost analysis in libraries, and impact measures for libraries.
